The 15th edition of the National Reading event took place in the unique setting of the historic St. Dorothy’s Church from Wolanów, located on the grounds of the Radom Village Museum. This year, we turned our attention together to one of the most important works of Polish literature—*Forefathers’ Eve* (*Dziady*) by Adam Mickiewicz. The distinctive atmosphere of the historic church harmonized perfectly with the mysterious, symbol-laden world of the drama.
Invited guests took on the roles of characters from Part II of *Forefathers’ Eve*:
Tomasz Trela – Director of the Pedagogical Library in Radom
Jakub Łuczycki – Deputy Director of the Radom Village Museum
Janina Ziętek – Consultant Teacher for the Dissemination of Pedagogical Information and Promotion, MSCDN Radom Branch
Aneta Sieradz – employee of the Radom Village Museum
Ewa Pachniak, Beata Tomczyk, and Dagmara Seta – employees of the Pedagogical Library in Radom.
The entire ceremony was enhanced by an atmospheric organ recital performed by Kamil Jóźwiak, which underscored the mystical ambiance of the gathering.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part in this special event—to the readers for their wonderful interpretations, the organizers for preparing the ceremony, and the guests and audience for turning out in such large numbers.
