We’ve just had an incredibly busy week at the library! Our doors welcomed readers of all ages—from curious preschoolers to passionate seniors.
We began the week, as is our tradition, with a meeting for our longest-standing readers. As they do every Monday, the seniors gathered for another session of learning and improving their English language skills.
The middle of the week was marked by puzzles, ciphers, and logical thinking:
- Students from grades 4 and 5 of the Public Primary School in Mazowszany solved puzzles in our escape room. After an exciting experience, they had the opportunity to explore the most interesting corners of our library—areas that are not typically accessible to the public.
- Second-grade students from School and Preschool Complex No. 3 in Radom took part in an exciting library game titled “Underground Escapades: Coding in the Library.”
- The preschoolers from “Leśne Smyki” (Forest Little Ones) embarked on an extraordinary journey into space! Their guide through the universe was none other than Nicolaus Copernicus, whom the children learned about through a beautiful story presented via *kamishibai*—a form of traditional Japanese paper-theater—titled “Copernicus and the Whirling Stars.”
The library also serves as a space for teachers to exchange experiences. This week, educators took part in the inaugural meeting of the “Education for Reading” Cooperation and Self-Development Network for Preschool Teachers, as well as the Cooperation and Self-Development Network for Teacher-Librarians. We are delighted to be working together to promote reading among children and young people.
