Young people from the Specialist Diagnosis and Rehabilitation Centre of the Polish Association of Librarians in Radom took part in a unique library game entitled “How They Work, or Learning About the Work of a Librarian from Behind the Scenes”.
It was not an ordinary visit to the shelves. Event participants had a unique opportunity to see for themselves what everyday life in a library is like.
For a day, the young people changed their perspective and took on the role of real librarians. Their task was to “work” in each of the available departments. This allowed them to discover the secrets of places usually off-limits to readers.
The game provided the peers with a lot of positive emotions, taught them how to work in a group and showed them that working in a library is a dynamic and passionate activity.
