“Radom-Ursus-Płock: a common wound, a common memory” – inauguration of the project on the 50th anniversary of June 1976.

We are proud to announce the launch of a unique educational historical project entitled “Radom-Ursus-Płock: A Common Wound, A Common Memory.” This initiative was created as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the June 1976 events and is a joint venture of three institutions: the Pedagogical Library in Radom, the Provincial Pedagogical Library named after the Commission for National Education in Warsaw, and the Pedagogical Library in Płock.

About the project

Our goal is to commemorate the workers’ protests of 1976 and provide teachers and educators with valuable teaching tools. The project is part of the celebrations of the Year of the Workers’ Protests of June 1976 and will be implemented systematically until the end of 2026.

  • Calendar of events of 1976: Published monthly, presenting the chronology and dynamics of those days.

  • Special issues of “Trybuna Ludu”: Two issues of the jointly edited newspaper, containing detailed information on the course and effects of the protests in Radom, Ursus and Płock, as well as reports on commemorative activities.

  • Exhibitions (online and in-store): A 19-card exhibition documenting the historic workers’ uprising.

  • Teaching packages: Complete educational materials, bibliography and netography for teachers.

All materials will be provided with uniform, unique graphics, allowing for easy identification and professional presentation in educational institutions.
